Student Work Categories

Use these student work categories when completing the Student Appointment form via OnBase. These categories will be used primarily for reporting. You must select 一个 or 更多的 on the form and assign percentages of time to each category you select.

  • Office work includes, but is not limited to, clerical support, administrative support, filing, answering ph一个s, reception.

• 安全

  • 安全 includes all work in the University Police Department (including 停车). It also includes, but is not limited to, lifeguards, event security.

• 技术支持

  • 技术支持 includes, but is not limited to, web, social media, service desk, hardware support, software support, audio/visual support

• Classroom/Lab 支持

  • Classroom/Lab 支持 includes, but is not limited to, childcare, animal care, lab 准备.

• 食品服务
  • 食品服务 includes work at all SpartanEats locations on campus.
• 体育运动
  • 体育运动 includes all work in support of Spartan 体育运动.
• 学生生活
  • 学生生活 includes, but is not limited to, mentoring, orientation, event support.

  • 研究相关的 work includes, but is not limited to, any undergraduate research project, assisting a faculty member strictly with research or creating a product, and not assisting 更多的 than 50% with teaching related duties. 员工 provide delimited services such as library retrieval, data entry, coding, equipment 准备 and 更多的. This work category can be applied to graduate or undergraduate level students who will be paid on an hourly basis.
